A little bit of thanks...

Often, I don't take the time to thank my family and friends for just being them...for being encouraging, and letting me talk (often with no point). I think I'm going to pick out a friend each month that has blessed me and is making a difference in my life. Thankfully there are many that I can count on. :)

I wanted to take this time (and space) to encourage a fellow blogger. Kristin over at Chicagomommas1st.blogspot.com has become such a great friend within the last six months. I got to know her through my husband. They both attended DePaul together and met while serving on worship team at The Well. Long story short, our husbands are good friends, and therefore we were forced to hang out. :) It wasn't until they moved up here in November that we began to really spend time together. She was my go to person this summer when I was bored and just when I wanted to have fun! She is also my sitter, which brings me such piece of mind, considering she is more organized and tightly wound about some things than I am.

So, Kristin, thanks for being a great friend, for always having something fun to say, and being an amazing sitter. We are so blessed to have you as part of our "family."

"How can I keep from singing His praise..."

All throughout the last two days at work this song has been in my head without stop. I had the opportunity of participating some amazing worship this weekend that really revived me. It started with church on worship team, went to participating in the first choir potluck, and ended with going to Encounter. For those of you who don't know, Encounter is a "rocked-out" worship concert that uses people from area churches to put it on. Mike played in it last time and had such a blast...and I had fun being the wife of the cute piano player in the band. I love leading worship, but I don't feel like I get to sit and worship as often I would love. I walked into the auditorium and had a wonderful time praising God for everything He is and does. I was loving every second of it. How can I keep from singing His praise? I hope that all of you have the chance to worship and sing to God sometime soon...it is an amazing experience.

It's been a while...

So it has been a while since I've been on here. I've been reading other people's blogs and just trying to adapt to being back at work. Things are thankfully going well thanks to my wonderful husband helping with the household duties, my wonderful sitters (Emily and Kristin) for giving me peace of mind while I'm at work, and DVR for taping my soap. Okay, I suppose I could go without the last one, and I probably should not have even admitted that I watch one but oh well!

I thought I would update a few things that Asher has told me lately that were oh so cute.

-When I got home from work on Friday night, my back hurt, and he nicely came up to me and rubbed it saying "It's okay sweetheart. You okay sweetheart." So cute...

-After putting on my shoes for church on Sunday, he looked at me very taken aback and told me "Wow, mommy, those are BEAUTIFUL shoes."

-Finally, while praying at dinner, he said "Dear Jesus, Thank you for food. Thank you for Avey. I wuv you. Amen." It melts my heart to hear him pray! What a sweet boy. he is going to back a great husband one day!

On a side note, Avery is walking/falling so much better everyday and now has two molars. Poor thing, teething was not easy! Here is a picture of her in the middle of teething...she always has a drool ring. :)
